The Council of the EU adopted its position on the revision of the F-Gas Regulation. The Council Presidency was provided a mandate to start negotiations with the European Parliament.

On 30 March 2023, the European Parliament adopted its position on the revision of the F-Gas Regulation, with 426 votes in favour, 109 against and 52 abstentions.

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has opened a six-month consultation on the PFAS restriction proposal, prepared by the Danish, German, Dutch, Norwegian and Swedish authorities. The consultation closes on 25 September 2023.

On 21 March 2023 the European Commission opened the feedback period on the new draft Ecodesign Regulation for local space heaters. Feedback can be submitted until 18 April 2023.

On Tuesday, 07 March, the European Commission held the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Consultation Forum meeting on the review of the regulations on air conditioners and comfort fans products (Regulations EU 206/2012 and 626/2011).

During the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Consultation Forum meeting on 7 March 2023, the European Commission informed that new Ecodesign preparatory studies will be launched to address recycled content and raw materials.
