The European Commission has launched a study exploring EU minimum performance standards for data centres. A stakeholder consultation is now underway.

The Commission launched a public consultation and call for evidence in view of the revision of the Regulation on the Governance of the Energy Union and Climate Action. The public consultation is open until 12 March 2026.

The first stakeholder meeting on the review of Regulation (EU) 2019/1781 was held on 28 November 2025. It aimed to evaluate the effects of the existing Regulation and to hold an exchange on policy options for amending the Regulation.

The scope of this environmental omnibus focuses on industrial emissions, circularity and environmental assessments. The omnibus proposes to repeal the obligation to report substances of very great concern to the ECHA SCIP database.

The final Delegated Regulation setting out the EU framework for calculating lifecycle GWP of new buildings has now been published. It specifies what HVAC equipment must be included in the calculations as well as acceptable sources of product-level data.
