<p>The draft report from the lead European Parliament ITRE Committee and the draft Council amendments on the European Commission’s revision proposal on the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II) are now available. </p>

<p>The European Commission has asked a consortium to develop an EU-wide whole life carbon roadmap to outline how all building-related emissions can be mitigated by 2050.  A kick-off webinar is hosted on 8 March 2022.</p>

On 16 February 2022, DG CLIMA provided a short update on the state of the ongoing F-Gas Regulation review. A summary below.

The European Commission shared with members of the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Consultation Forum its tentative planning for the first part of 2022. A Consultation Forum meeting providing an update on the review of GROW Lot 6 is foreseen for 10 March 2022.

<p>The European Commission has shared on 14 February with members of the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Consultation Forum (X03609) which includes Eurovent, some developments and details of its tentative planning for the first part of 2022. </p>

According to Eurostat, the share of renewable energy used for heating and cooling in 2020 in the EU reached 23%. That is up from 22% in 2019 and up from 12% in 2004 when the Eurostat dataset starts.
