<p>Eurovent has released the first edition of the Eurovent Recommendation 14/6 – Interpretation of Regulation (EU) 2019/2018 and of Regulation (EU) 2019/2024. The Recommendation provides the European Commission with industry input for the future guidelines accompanying Regulations (EU) 2019/2018 and (EU) 2024/2019.</p>

<p>Eurovent’s recently launched Product Group ‘Rooftop Units’ (PG-RT) has elected its first Chairman and Vice-Chairman during its second meeting on 16 November 2020. The Group’s Chairman is Mr Filip Konieczny (Ventilation and Air Conditioning Manager / Export Technical Specialist at FLOWAIR). He will be supported by the PG-RT Vice-Chairman Mr Alberto Bellù (Product Manager Rooftop & Air Handling Units at Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems S.p.A.).</p>

Following a formal approval of the Eurovent Board of Directors, J2 Innovations, provider of control and management software for HVACR equipment, has joined Eurovent (Association for Indoor Climate, Process Cooling and Food Cold Chain Technologies) as its newest Associate Member.

<p>As announced earlier this year, Eurovent Market Intelligence (EMI) has published a report focused on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the European HVACR market. The 93-page study provides a market forecast for 2020-2023 based on product type, country, application and project type. A sample of the report is attached to this article and the full study can be obtained from EMI.</p>

<p>During its meeting on 29 September 2020, the Eurovent Product Group ‘Air Filters’ (PG-FIL) elected Dr. Marc Schmidt (Vice President Technologies Europe, AAF International) as its new Chairman. He is joined by Dr. Thomas Caesar (Director Global Filter Engineering, Freudenberg Filtration Technologies), who was re-elected for his second term as PG-FIL Vice-Chairman.</p>

<p>In order to help manufacturers gain certainty, Eurovent Market Intelligence (EMI) will publish a report analysing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the European HVACR industry at the end of September. The report will include results of a recently launched EMI survey targeting HVACR product manufacturers. The survey runs until 11 September 2020. Interested manufacturers are encouraged to participate.</p>

<p>Eurovent has partnered up with ATMOsphere / shecco to participate in the first Global Virtual Trade Show of its kind on 1 September 2020. Eurovent has become an official partner of the event and will be present with its own virtual booth. Attendance is free of charge.</p>

<p>Together with other European industry associations, Eurovent has prepared a joint Manifesto, with the objective to collectively promote healthy buildings with an adequate level of Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ), and to safeguard the wellbeing of EU citizens. The Manifesto is a result of joint work of the IEQ Gathering that brings together eight European industry associations, representing organisations involved in technical building systems and their maintenance.</p>

<p>Eurovent is launching a new Product Group ‘Rooftop Units’ (PG-RT) at the request of members active in this product field. In the near term, the PG-RT will focus on the revision of Regulation (EU) 2016/2281, which is supposed to start by the end of 2020, and the assessment of the rooftop unit sector and its technologies.</p>

<p>The Eurovent Product Groups ‘Air Conditioners’ (PG-AC) and ‘Liquid Chilling Packages and Heat Pumps’ (PG-LCP-HP) elected new Chairmen and Vice Chairmen, with a clear scope and timeline of activities. Mr Henk Kranenberg was separately elected Chairman of both Products Groups. He is joined by Vice Chairman Mr Stefano Vit (De’ Longhi) in the air conditioners group and Vice Chairman Mr Mariano Covolo (Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems S.p.A.) in the chillers group.</p>

<p>The Eurovent Association has partnered up with ATMOsphere (shecco) and Danish Technological Institute to support the virtual ATMO/DTI Technical Conference ‘The Future of Air Conditioning’ on 23 and 24 June 2020. Eurovent’s Deputy Secretary General and European refrigeration expert Francesco Scuderi will elaborate on the EU Climate Neutrality Strategy in the Policy Panel on the first day of the conference. Eurovent members receive 15% discount on conference passes.</p>

<p>During its 63rd meeting, the General Assembly of the Eurovent Association defined a new vision for the future of the European HVACR industry. Mr Naci Sahin starts the final year of his second election term as President of Europe’s Industry Association for Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies.</p>
