<p>The Eurovent Association’s Product Groups ‘Air Handling Units’ and ‘Residential Air Handling Units’ (covering non-residential and residential ventilation units respectively) have released Position Papers concerning the ongoing review of Commission Regulation (EU) No 1253/2014 (Ecodesign requirements for ventilation units). The papers include clarifications and amendments to the regulatory text, as well as in-depth suggestions for improvement concerning air filters, leakages, humidity recovery, control systems, labelling aspects, and many other issues of high relevance.</p>

The Eurovent Association’s Product Group AHU has just published the first release of its Guidebook on Air Handling Units. On 53 pages, the free-of-charge publication provides all essential information on this important piece of technology in a hands-on and neutral manner.

Following its meeting during the Eurovent Summit in Seville, the Eurovent Product Group ‘Air Filters’ has published an updated version of its popular Recommendation 4/23 – “Selection of EN ISO 16890 rated air filter classes for general ventilation applications”. The 2018 version is aligned with European standardisation developments. It includes a hands-on table, which shows that required filtration efficiencies can be reached by using different filters or different combinations of filters.

Welcome Reception by the Eurovent President’ saw the official opening ceremony of the 2018 Eurovent Summit in Seville, Spain. Through a ribbon-cutting session, the Eurovent President Naci Şahin, the organisers and the representatives of Summit supporters have welcomed close to 500 high-ranking guests from Spain, Europe and beyond to Eurovent’s biennial flagship event. The evening was opened with an official speech by Naci Sahin, which can be read below.

As one of the world’s largest industry associations for Indoor Climate, Process Cooling and Food Cold Chain Technologies, Eurovent is set to support emerging markets with educational programmes by sharing knowledge on energy efficient technologies. A seminar on Energy Efficiency will be held during the 2018 Refrigeration & HVAC Indonesia in Jakarta.

During the next edition of the Eurovent Summit, taking place from 25 to 28 September 2018 in Seville, Spain, participants will be challenged in an HVACR version of ‘Who wants to be a millionaire?’.

The Eurovent Association will be celebrating its 60th anniversary during the 2018 Eurovent Summit. On the evening of Thursday, 27 September, the ‘60 Shades of Eurovent – special anniversary event’ will be hosted at Hacienda el Vizir, Seville, Spain and powered by Summit sponsors CAREL and Koxka.

The Eurovent Association has announced its programme for the second edition of the Eurovent Innovation/HUB, the flagship event of the 2018 Eurovent Summit, powered by ebm-papst. The event, which is going to take place on the evening of 26 September in Seville, Spain, will welcome high-ranking speakers from Europe and the US to present in a unique manner.

Following an official approval by the Eurovent Board of Directors on 6 July 2018 in Brussels, EDPAC has formally joined the Eurovent Association. The manufacturer of innovative air conditioning equipment for critical applications becomes Eurovent’s first member from Ireland.

<p>The Spanish Industry Symposium will take place on 27 September 2018, within the framework of the 2018 <strong>EUROVENT</strong>SUMMIT, and will focus on the Spanish HVACR industry. This year’s Eurovent Summit is co-organised by Eurovent and its Spanish Member Associations AEFYT (Association for Refrigeration Technologies) and AFEC (HVAC Equipment Manufacturers Association), and will be held at the Hotel Melia Lebreros Sevilla, between 25 and 28 September 2018.</p>

For the second edition in a row, laboratory CEIS (Testing, Innovation and Services Center or centro de ensayos, innovación y servicios) has become the official Connectivity Partner (sponsor) of the 2018 Eurovent Summit in Seville, Spain.
