The European Commission adopted the revision proposal for the revision of the Ecodesign Regulation on Local Space Heaters. It shall apply from 1 July 2025.

ECHA informed that the national authorities of the PFAS restriction dossier submitters are using the information provided by stakeholders from the six-month consultation to update their initial restriction proposal.

The European Commission recently launched a study to propose an energy labelling regulation for low-temperature heat emitters. A dedicated web page on the Have your Say and the dedicated website for the preparatory study have been already created.

Several initiatives related to the new F-Gas regulation have been published on the Have your Say web portal for an upcoming consultation period.

On 4 March, the European Parliament and Council reached a provisional agreement on the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

The provisional deal on the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) agreed by the Parliament and Council is scheduled for final approval by the Parliament’s plenary on 25 April.

On 2 February, the European Commission published its Annual Union Work Programme on European Standardisation (AUWP) 2024 setting out its priorities in standardisation-related activities.

A new Implementing Decision with the harmonised standards under the LVD was published in December 2023.

The European Commission clarified next steps with regards to updated guidelines for the new Machinery Regulation and the completion of the Standardisation Request.
